Title 82. Waters And Water Rights: Construction and assessment elections

A.  When the board calls an election and submits to the electors
the question whether or not a construction plan and an assessment
shall be levied to raise money to be used for any of the purposes
provided in the Oklahoma Irrigation District Act, the election shall
be called upon notice and shall be held and the result thereof
determined and declared in all respects in conformity with the
bylaws of the district.
B.  The notice shall specify:
1.  the proposed construction plan;
2.  the total amount of money proposed to be raised;
3.  the purpose for which it is intended to be used;
4.  the maximum annual assessments proposed to be levied; and
5.  the number of years the assessment shall continue.
C.  The ballots shall contain the words "Construction and
Assessment - Yes" and "Construction and Assessment - No." If a
majority of the votes are "Construction and Assessment - Yes," the
Board shall, at the time of the annual levy thereunder, levy an
assessment sufficient to raise the amount payable.
