Title 8. Cemeteries: Inspections and examinations - Costs

Whenever the Board deems it necessary or advisable, and at least
once in each year, it shall examine, through its authorized
representative each burial association and thoroughly inspect and
examine its financial condition, whether it has complied with the
provisions of the law and any other facts relative to its business
methods, management, and the equity of its dealings with its members
and claimants.  The Board or its authorized representative may
subpoena and administer the oath to and examine witnesses, the
directors, officers, trustees, agents, representatives, and members
of any association and any other person, relative to its affairs,
transactions and conditions.  The cost of any examination exceeding
four (4) hours in duration made pursuant to the provisions of this
section shall be the responsibility of the examined burial
assocation.  Provided, however, no such cost paid by the examined
burial association shall exceed five percent (5%) of the total
income of said burial association or Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars
($250.00) whichever is greater.
