As used in the Oklahoma College Athletic Conference Act: 1. "Commission" means the body established under this act to explore the creation of a new NCAA Division II athletic conference in this state; 2. "NCAA" means the National Collegiate Athletic Association; 3. "NCAA Division II" means the governing body for intercollegiate athletics for NCAA-member institutions that compete at the Division II level, which balances athletics, academics, and extracurricular activities; 4. "Member institutions" means accredited colleges and universities that would be potential members of the new NCAA Division II conference; 5. "Student-athletes" means individuals enrolled in member institutions who participate in NCAA Division II athletics; and 6. "The conference" means a collective body of NCAA Division II institutions that would form an organized athletic conference under the NCAA's rules and regulations.
