Title 70. Schools: Western Oklahoma State College

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education are hereby
directed to complete the study authorized by House Concurrent
Resolution No. 1003 of the First Session of the Thirty-second
Legislature within ninety (90) days after the passage of this act
and, upon a finding of need and feasibility, are authorized to
establish a two-year junior college in Altus, to serve Jackson,
Tillman, Kiowa, Greer and Harmon Counties and surrounding area, if
provision is made locally for the donation, to the State of
Oklahoma, of a suitable site for the college, which shall be known
as the Western Oklahoma State College and shall be an integral part
of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education; and shall be
entitled to the same privileges and be subject to the same laws as
other member institutions of such State System.
