Title 70. Schools: Langston University experiment station

Langston University, located at Langston, Oklahoma, is hereby
authorized to devote and use all or any part of suitable farm lands
belonging to or leased or rented by said institution in the
establishment of and conducting and carrying on an agricultural
experiment station for the purpose of conducting experiments in
agriculture.  It is further provided that said station shall be
maintained in cooperation with the Oklahoma State University of
Agriculture and Applied Science of the State of Oklahoma in
accordance with the terms of the Acts of Congress establishing
agricultural colleges or universities and experiment stations.

The authority herein granted shall be construed to be
supplemental to and in conformity with Section 403 of this Code and
other applicable statutes under which said Langston University of
the State of Oklahoma was created and established and to carry into
full and complete effect the purpose and intent of said statutes. In
recognition of the designation of Langston University as an
agricultural research institution by federal and state law, and as
an institution offering graduate programs by the Oklahoma State
Regents for Higher Education, it is the intent of the Legislature
that the State Regents for Higher Education provide the appropriate
funding to enable Langston University to fulfill its role in
agricultural research as provided for in this section.
The Board of Regents for the Oklahoma Agricultural and
Mechanical Colleges shall name a director of said experiment station
who shall have charge and supervision thereof, and said Board of
Regents for the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges shall
provide rules and regulations for the maintenance and operation of
said station.  Provided, all of such rules and regulations and the
management of said station shall be in coordination with and
pursuant to the plan and requirements of the Board of Regents in its
operation and conduct of agricultural experiments as now conducted
at Oklahoma State University of Agriculture and Applied Science.
