Oklahoma Code § 70-3102

Title 70. Schools: Meaning of certain terms as used in act

As used in this act, unless the context clearly indicates that a
different meaning is intended:
(a) "Code" means this act.
(b) "State System" means the Oklahoma State System of Higher
Education referred to in Section 1, Article XIII-A, Oklahoma
Constitution.
(c) "State Regents" means the Oklahoma Regents for Higher
Education, the coordinating board of control, established by Section
2, Article XIII-A, Oklahoma Constitution.
(d) "State educational institution" means any institution
supported wholly or in part by direct legislative appropriations and
offering courses of education of any kind beyond or in addition to
the twelfth grade, or its equivalent, as such grade is generally
understood and accepted in the public school system of Oklahoma,
whether called a university, college, junior college, school or
academy.
(e) "Private educational institution" means any private,
denominational or other institution of the same type as a state
educational institution except that it is not supported wholly or in
part by direct legislative appropriations.
(f) "Board of Regents" means the board or body designated by the
Oklahoma Constitution or by this Code as the board of regents or
governing board of a state educational institution.
