A. All instructional material, including but not limited to teacher manuals, films, tapes or other supplementary instructional material in any format, used by a public school as part of the educational curriculum, shall be available for inspection by the parents or guardians of students enrolled in the school. B. Each school district shall develop and adopt policies pertaining to the inspection of instructional materials in consultation with parents and guardians. The policies shall include procedures for granting a request by a parent or guardian for reasonable access to instructional material within a reasonable period of time after the request is received. C. For the purposes of this section, "instructional material" means instructional content that is provided to a student, regardless of the format, including printed or representational materials, audio-visual materials and materials in electronic or digital formats.
