Title 65. Public Libraries: Subjects included in system

A.  The Oklahoma Department of Libraries is hereby authorized
and directed to establish at the earliest possible date an automated
data processing and information retrieval system and a statewide
information network.  The automated data processing and information
retrieval system shall be a part of and may utilize the equipment
and services of the Oklahoma Government Telecommunications Network
(OGTN) created in Section 1 of this act, when available.

B.  The automated data processing and information retrieval
system shall include the following elements and operations as
rapidly as circumstances permit:
1.  Legislative reference and research, including current
legislative data;
2.  Data base of the holdings of Oklahoma libraries;
3.  Statistical information and reports of state institutions;
4.  Rules and regulations of state agencies;
5.  Laws of the state;
6.  Public documents of Oklahoma, the United States and other
governments;
7.  Opinions of the Attorney General;
8.  General reference and research;
9.  Oklahoma information center;
10.  Legal reference and research;
11.  Archives and records of the state;
12.  Printed catalog of Oklahoma State Library Collections; and
13.  Any other operation considered desirable, necessary or
feasible.
