Title 64. Public Lands: Commissioners of the Land Office - Secretary - Employees

The Governor of the State of Oklahoma shall be designated as
chairman ex officio of the Commissioners of the Land Office.  The
Commissioners shall elect from their body a vice-chairman whose duty
it shall be to act as chairman in the absence of the chairman or in
case of the failure, neglect, or refusal of the chairman to act.
The Secretary of the Land Office shall select for employment all
employees as may be deemed necessary and appropriate to properly
operate the Land Office, except the General Counsel for the Land
Commission who shall be selected by a majority of the Commission.
The Commissioners, by a majority vote, may remove the Secretary
of the Land Office and the General Counsel of the Land Office.  The
Secretary may discharge and remove any employee of the Land Office.
