Title 63. Public Health And Safety: Payment of fees and taxes by check - Nonpayment of check

A.  When, at the time of titling and registration of any vessel
or motor payment is made by check for fees and taxes and the check
is not paid by the bank on which drawn for any reason, such
certificate of title or registration and other such instruments
issued at the time of titling or registration of such vessel or
motor shall be canceled immediately, without notice, by the
Commission or motor license agent who issued such title or
registration certificate.  In all such cases the title or
registration certificate, number, receipt, and any other official
document issued at the time of the acceptance of such check shall be
null and void and returned to the issuer.
B.  The motor license agent shall transmit all documents and the
dishonored check to the Oklahoma Tax Commission for credit to the
motor license agent's account.  The Commission may enter into a
contract for the collection of dishonored checks and canceled
instruments.
C.  In all such cases, such vessels or motors shall be subject
to the fees and penalties provided in the Oklahoma Vessel and Motor
Registration Act as though no attempt to register the vehicle had
been made and a further penalty of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00)
shall be assessed.
