evaluation of information. A. The State Department of Health shall make such investigations concerning birth defects and cancer, the prevention and treatment of said diseases or impairments and the mortality resulting from them, and take such action to assist in reducing said mortality as it deems necessary and appropriate. B. The State Department of Health shall compile and evaluate information received from the reports required pursuant to Sections 1 and 2 of this act and subsection A of this section in a report to be distributed on or before January 1 of each year to the Governor, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and to such other person as the Commissioner deems advisable or necessary. Copies of such report shall also be made available to the federal government, and to members of the public upon written request.
