(a) The floors, walls, and ceilings of locker plants and branch locker plants, including all food processing rooms, slaughtering facilities, and similar items, shall be of such construction and finish that they can be conveniently maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. Walls and ceilings shall be well painted or finished in some other approved manner and shall be refinished as often as necessary. Washing facilities including hot and cold water shall be provided for proper cleansing of utensils and equipment. The lockers in any plant shall be so constructed as to protect the contents from contamination, deterioration, or injury. Lockers with perforated bottoms shall be provided with a suitable unperforated liner or tray. (b) Any plant using a toxic gas refrigerant shall have at least one gas mask of a type approved by the State Commissioner of Health and shall keep the same where it will be readily accessible.
