Title 62. Public Finance: Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust Fund – Monies

A.  Section 40 of Article X of the Oklahoma Constitution created
a trust fund to be known as the “Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust
Fund”.  The trust fund principal shall consist of the portion of
monies which are received by the State of Oklahoma on or after July
1, 2001, pursuant to any settlement with or judgment against any
tobacco company or companies as provided by subsection B of this
section, the Fifty Million Dollars ($50,000,000.00) transferred to
the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust Fund pursuant to Section 29,
Chapter 8, 1st Extraordinary Session, O.S.L. 2000, and any other
monies that may be appropriated or otherwise directed to the trust
fund by the Legislature.
B.  The trust fund principal shall consist of monies which are
deposited to the trust fund.  Notwithstanding any other provisions
of law, income and investment return on trust fund principal shall
accrue to the trust fund.
