Title 59. Professions And Occupations: Athletic Trainers Advisory Committee

There is hereby created the Athletic Trainers Advisory
Committee, to be composed of five (5) members to be appointed by the
State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.  To qualify as a
member, a person must be a citizen of the United States and a
resident of Oklahoma for five (5) years immediately preceding
appointment.  Two members shall be licensed athletic trainers,
except for the initial appointees, and two members shall be
physicians licensed by the state and one member shall be a member of
the Oklahoma Coaches Association who shall be selected by the Board

of the Association. Except for the initial appointees, members shall
hold office for terms of six (6) years.  In the event of death,
resignation or removal of any member, the vacancy of the unexpired
term shall be filled by the Board in the same manner as other
appointments.  The Athletic Trainers Advisory Committee shall assist
the Board in conducting examinations for applicants and shall advise
the Board on all matters pertaining to the licensure of athletic
trainers.  Members of the Committee shall be reimbursed for expenses
incurred while performing their duties under the provisions of this
act in accordance with the State Travel Reimbursement Act.
