Title 59. Professions And Occupations: Alcohol and drug counselor license – Examination

A.  1.  On and after January 1, 2005, before any person is
eligible to receive a license to practice as a certified or licensed
alcohol and drug counselor in this state, such person shall
successfully pass an examination pursuant to the provisions of this
section.
2.  Examinations shall be held at such times, at such place and
in such manner as the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug
Counselors directs.  An examination shall be held at least annually.
The Board shall determine the acceptable grade on examinations.  The
examination shall cover such technical, professional and practical
subjects as relate to the practice of alcohol and drug counseling.
3.  If an applicant fails to pass the examination, the applicant
may reapply.
B.  The Board shall preserve the answers to any examination, and
the applicant’s performance on each section of the examination, as
part of the records of the Board for a period of two (2) years
following the date of the examination.
