Open in Lexace · Ask the AI about this section
Notwithstanding any provisions of the Administrative Procedures
Act, the State Board of Licensed Social Workers may, without a
hearing, temporarily suspend a license for not more than sixty (60)
days if the Board finds that a person licensed under the Social

Worker’s Licensing Act has violated a law or rule that the Board is
empowered to enforce, and if continued practice by the licensed
person would create an imminent risk of harm to the public. The
suspension shall take effect upon written notice to the licensed
person specifying the statute or rule violated. At the time it
issues the suspension notice, the Board shall schedule a
disciplinary hearing to be held pursuant to the Administrative
Procedures Act within thirty (30) days and shall provide the
licensed person with notice of the date of hearing.
