Title 56. Poor Persons: Jurisdiction of State Budget Director - Director of Old-

Age and Survivors Insurance - Other personnel.
The State Budget Director in the Executive Department shall have
jurisdiction over all matters pertaining to the accounting,
reporting and collection of amounts due from state agencies,
pursuant to the terms of this act and Title 2 of the Federal Social
Security Act (Public Law 734 (HR 6000) - 81st Congress), as
authorized by Title 56, Chapter 7, Oklahoma Session Laws 1949, and
pursuant to the Federal-State agreement entered into under Section
218 of the Federal Social Security Act as amended (providing for
coverage through Federal-State agreements), holding the state
responsible for all aspects of conformance to the terms of the
coverage agreement.

The State Budget Director, at the direction of the Governor,
shall employ and fix the duties and compensation of a Director of
Old-Age and Survivors Insurance and shall employ and fix the duties
and compensation of such other personnel as he deems necessary to
assist him in performing the duties and functions in connection with
the administration of the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance system as
it pertains to state employees in the coverage group designated by
law as the "State of Oklahoma".
