Title 56. Poor Persons: Definitions

(a) When used herein, the term "State Department" shall mean the
State Department of Public Welfare;
(b) The term "Commission" shall mean the Oklahoma Public Welfare
Commission;
(c) The term "county board" shall mean the county board of
public welfare;
(d) The term "Director" shall mean the Director of Public
Welfare;
(e) The term "applicant" shall mean a person who has applied for
assistance under this act;
(f) The term "recipient" shall mean any person who is receiving
assistance under the terms of this act;
(g) The term "assistance" shall mean money payments to, medical
care in behalf of, or any other kind of benefit to or for recipients
who receive aid under the provisions of this act.
(h) The singular shall include the plural and the masculine
shall include the feminine;
(i) The term "county department" shall mean the county board of
public welfare, a county director of public welfare and such other

personnel as may be necessary for the efficient performance of the
duties of the county department;
(j) The term "Department" shall mean the State Department of
Public Welfare and the county department of public welfare.
