Title 52. Oil And Gas: Powers of Commission - Marshal of Commission

In all matters pertaining to the making, issuing and enforcement
of its orders, rules and regulations made under the provisions of
this act, the Commission shall have and exercise all of the
following powers and authority; to wit (1) Of visitation and of a
court of record; (2) To administer oaths; (3) To compel attendance
of witnesses; (4) To compel the production of books and records; (5)
To punish for contempt any person guilty of any disrespectful or
disorderly conduct in the presence of the Commission while in
session; (6) To punish as for contempt any disobedience or violation
of the provisions of this act and of any of its orders, rules,
regulations, and judgments made or rendered by it under and in
pursuance of the provisions of this act; (7) To enforce the
provisions of this act, and compliance with any of its orders,
rules, regulations or judgments by appropriate process, and by shut
down orders, ordering and directing the shutting down or
discontinuance of production of oil from any well or wells of or
operated by the offender with respect to which complaint has been
made; and by orders or writs remedial or otherwise necessary or
proper, to carry into effect its orders, rules and regulations; (8)
To appoint or designate one of its agents or employees or one of the
deputies to the Proration Umpire to act as Marshal of the
Commission, who shall serve as such Marshal during its pleasure
without additional compensation for such services, and who shall
attend the sessions of the Commission, and when directed by it shall

serve and execute orders, subpoenas, commitments and other process
issuing from it.
