Title 47. Motor Vehicles: Cooperation with other agencies

A.  Other state agencies, departments and bureaus shall
cooperate with the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety in
regulating motor carrier safety and the transportation of hazardous
materials.  Such agencies, departments and bureaus may enter into
interagency agreements with the Department for the purpose of
implementing, administering and enforcing any provision of the
Oklahoma Motor Carrier Safety and Hazardous Materials Transportation
Act and the rules and regulations of the Department issued pursuant
thereto.
B.  The Department may enter into a cooperative agreement with
the United States Department of Transportation and any other federal
department or agency to enforce the provisions of the Oklahoma Motor

Carrier Safety and Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, or
regulations adopted pursuant thereto, federal motor carrier safety
regulations, and federal regulations governing the transportation of
hazardous material.  The Department may receive grants, gifts and
other funds, equipment and services from the federal government or
other sources for this purpose.
C.  All files, records and data gathered by the Department
pursuant to the Oklahoma Motor Carrier Safety and Hazardous
Materials Transportation Act may be made available to the Department
of Environmental Quality, other agencies of state government, the
United States Department of Transportation and other jurisdictions
in any cooperative effort relating to motor carrier safety or the
transportation of hazardous materials.
