Open in Lexace · Ask the AI about this section
The Insurance Commissioner may promulgate rules to require small
employer carriers, as a condition of transacting business with small
employers in this state after the effective date of this act, to
reissue a health benefit plan to any small employer whose health
benefit plan has been terminated or not renewed by the carrier after
December 31, 1993. The Commissioner may prescribe such terms for
the reissue of coverage as the Commissioner finds are reasonable and
necessary to provide continuity of coverage to small employers.
