Title 27A. Environment And Natural Resources: Study of Oklahoma as low-level radioactive waste

The Department and the Radiation Management Advisory Council
shall study the procedural and substantive authority, criteria and
physical and technical standards that would be advisable and
necessary for the protection of the health, safety and welfare of
the public and the environment concerning the licensure and
subsequent construction and operation of a low-level radioactive
waste disposal site in this state should Oklahoma be considered as
one of the host states for the region, in accordance with Articles
IV and V of the Central Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste
Compact.  The Department shall annually submit written findings and
recommendations to the Governor and to the Legislature.
