Title 27A. Environment And Natural Resources: Assistance to political subdivisions

To further benefit the citizens of the State of Oklahoma, the
Department may, if funds are available from the fund, render
financial assistance, by form of a matching grant not to exceed
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), to any municipality or county
of the state, which has prepared an emergency response plan which
has been approved by the Department, for the purpose of providing
basic emergency response training and protective equipment to be
used by such municipality or county in responding to incidents
involving hazardous waste.  Such financial assistance shall be
available only to those applicants which have a significant
potential for initiating emergency response to an incident involving
hazardous waste.  The Department shall give priority to
municipalities or counties of the state in which off-site facilities
are located.
