Oklahoma Code § 26-11-103

Title 26. Elections: Terms of office

If the term of the office to which the judicial officer was
appointed expires on the second Monday in January following the
election, the election shall be for a term of six (6) years
beginning on the second Monday in January following the election. If
the term for such office does not expire on the second Monday in
January following the election, the election shall be for the
unexpired term of the office to which he was appointed.  If the term
of office to which the judicial officer was appointed expires before

such officer must file a Declaration of Candidacy to be retained in
office, the election shall be for the remainder of the six-year term
which follows the term during which he was appointed.
