Oklahoma Code § 21-276

Title 21. Crimes And Punishments: Unlawful deputation is void

Every grant or deputation made contrary to the provisions of the
two preceding sections is void; but official acts done before a
conviction for any offense prohibited by those sections shall not be
deemed invalid in consequence of the invalidity of such grant or
deputation.
