Amount - Purpose. A. At any election held under the provisions of Section 15-80 of this title, there may be also submitted to a vote of the legal voters of the county, under the same conditions as provided in Section 15-80 of this title, the question of authorizing and directing the excise board of such county to make an annual levy of not to exceed one (1) mill, for not to exceed five (5) succeeding years, to provide a "free fair improvement fund". The fund shall be used for the purpose of securing suitable grounds, making improvements thereon and maintaining the same. The fund shall be for a special purpose. B. The levy shall be in addition to the maximum levy for current expenses now provided by law. Added by Laws 1929 c. 25, p. 22, § 5. Amended by Laws 2001, c. 146, § 204, emerg. eff. April 30, 2001.
