Title 19. Counties And County Officers: Compensation of election officials - How expenses borne

All special election commissioners, selected and commissioned as
provided herein, shall receive as compensation for their services
the sum of Three Dollars ($3.00) per day for each and every day
necessarily employed in the work connected with the holding of such
election, including the time spent in going to and returning from

said county, and the actual and necessary traveling expenses, and
for maintenance in the performance of such duties.  Such
commissioner shall prepare and file with the Governor a sworn
itemized statement of time employed and expenses incurred, which
said statement shall be by the Governor forwarded to the county
clerk of the county holding such election.  The expense connected
with the holding of any such special election, including the per
diem and expenses of all such special election commissioners, shall
be borne and paid for by the county out of any funds in hands of the
county treasurer.
