As used in this act: 1. High-rise building shall mean any building more than seventy-five (75) feet in height measured from the lowest level of access by fire-fighting equipment, the normal use of which is intended for occupancy by human beings, excluding hospital treatment or operating rooms. 2. Water sprinkler system shall mean a water distribution system designed in accordance with standards adopted by the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal Commission. Provided nothing herein shall be construed as prohibiting the alternative use of other high-rise life protection systems which are equivalent to and in accordance with a nationally recognized building code.
