custody. A. Every child taken into custody by the Department of Human Services pursuant to the Oklahoma Children's Code shall be given a standardized assessment within twenty-one (21) days of entering custody, unless otherwise prescribed by the assessment. B. The assessment shall evaluate the physical, developmental, medical, mental health and educational needs of the child and shall be considered when developing placement and service plans for the child. C. The assessment shall be updated by the Department at regular intervals while the child is in the custody of the Department to ensure the needs of the child are being addressed and changes are being documented. D. The Department may promulgate rules to implement the provisions of this section.
