Title 10. Children: Reports of children not attending school - Notice to

district court.
It is hereby declared to be the duty of the superintendent of
the school district in which the child resides, together with the
truant and probation officers, to report to the district court the
names of all children who are neglected or dependent and who are not
attending school as provided by law, and upon the filing of such
report, the judge of the district court shall cause the probation
officer to serve notice upon the parents, guardian, or other person
having such children in charge.
It shall be the duty of the probation officer under such notice,
to investigate the condition of such children and to report the same
to the judge of the district court.  Upon such information, the
judge of the district court may, if he deems it proper, cause such
child or children to be placed in said schools and homes under the
provisions of this act.
