Effective: September 29, 2013 Latest Legislation: House Bill 59 - 130th General Assembly No railroad company and no employee or agent of the company shall be charged, or is liable in damages to person or property, for any failure to sound an audible warning by whistle, horn, bell, or other audible warning device at a railroad grade crossing to which any of the following apply: (A) The crossing is equipped in accordance with division (B)(2) of section 4955.32 of the Revised Code. (B) The crossing is located in a railroad quiet zone established pursuant to section 4955.42 of the Revised Code. (C) The crossing is located in a jurisdiction in which such sounding is restricted or prohibited by law.
