Effective: June 11, 2012 Latest Legislation: House Bill 487 - 129th General Assembly In accordance with sections 4921.30 to 4921.36 of the Revised Code, the public utilities commission may adopt rules regarding any of the following: (A) Providing for binding estimates by for-hire motor carriers engaged in the transportation of household goods in intrastate commerce; (B) Providing for guaranteed-not-to-exceed estimates by those carriers; (C) Requiring those carriers to include their certificate number in all advertising, written estimates, and contracts related to the transportation of household goods in intrastate commerce; (D) As are necessary and proper to carry out this chapter with respect to those carriers; (E) Providing for the enforcement of the consumer protection provisions of Title 49 of the United States Code related to the delivery and transportation of household goods in interstate commerce, as permitted by 49 U.S.C. 14710.
