Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly No public utilities commissioner, attorney to the public utilities commission, secretary to the commission, or person employed or appointed to office by the commission or by its attorney shall accept any gift, gratuity, emolument, or employment from any public utility or railroad or any officer, agent, or employee of a public utility or railroad or solicit, suggest, request, or recommend, directly or indirectly, to any person, corporation, or public utility subject to the supervision of the commission, or to any officer, attorney, agent, or employee thereof, the appointment of any person to any office, place, position, or employment. Whoever violates this section shall be removed from office.
