Effective: October 9, 2021 Latest Legislation: House Bill 263 - 133rd General Assembly (A)(1) Except as provided in division (B) of this section, no person shall practice as a genetic counselor unless the person holds a current, valid license to practice as a genetic counselor issued under this chapter. (2) No person shall use the title "genetic counselor," or otherwise hold the person out as a genetic counselor, unless the person holds a current, valid license to practice as a genetic counselor issued under this chapter. (B) Division (A)(1) of this section does not apply to either of the following: (1) A student performing an activity as part of a genetic counseling graduate program described in division (B)(2) of section 4778.03 of the Revised Code; (2) A person who is authorized pursuant to another provision of the Revised Code to perform any of the activities that a genetic counselor is authorized to perform.
