Effective: April 7, 2003 Latest Legislation: House Bill 374 - 124th General Assembly The professional standards committees of the counselor, social worker, and marriage and family therapist board shall review the applications of applicants for licensure or registration under this chapter who have received a post-secondary degree from an educational institution outside the United States. The committee reviewing the application shall determine whether the applicant's experience, command of the English language, and completed academic program meet the standards of an academic program of an accredited educational institution. If they do, the applicant shall be considered to have received the education from an accredited educational institution as required by this chapter and rules adopted under it.
