Effective: December 29, 2023 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 131 - 134th General Assembly If an applicant passes the examination or examinations required under section 4755.43 of the Revised Code and pays the fee required by division (B) of section 4755.42 of the Revised Code, the physical therapy section of the Ohio occupational therapy, physical therapy, and athletic trainers board shall issue a license, attested by the seal of the board, to the applicant to practice as a physical therapist. The section shall issue a license to practice as a physical therapist in accordance with Chapter 4796. of the Revised Code, attested by the seal of the board, to an applicant if either of the following applies: (A) The applicant holds a license in another state. (B) The applicant has satisfactory work experience, a government certification, or a private certification as described in that chapter as a physical therapist in a state that does not issue that license.
