Effective: December 29, 2023 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 131 - 134th General Assembly The board of executives of long-term services and supports shall administer, or contract with a government or private entity to administer, examinations that an individual must pass to obtain a nursing home administrator license under section 4751.20 of the Revised Code. If the board contracts with a government or private entity to administer the examinations, the contract may authorize the entity to collect and keep, as all or part of the entity's compensation under the contract, any fee an individual pays to take the examination. The entity is not required to deposit the fee into the state treasury. To be admitted to an examination administered under this section, an individual must pay the examination fee charged by the board or government or private entity. If an individual fails three times to pass the examination, the individual, before being admitted to the examination a subsequent time, also must satisfy any education requirements, experience requirements, or both, that may be prescribed in rules adopted under section 4751.04 of the Revised Code in addition to any education requirements or experience requirements that must be satisfied to obtain a nursing home administrator license under section 4751.20 of the Revised Code.
