Effective: July 1, 1993 Latest Legislation: House Bill 482 - 119th General Assembly Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to restrict the use by any corporation or partnership of the word "engineer" or "engineering" in a corporate or business name of any corporation or partnership providing services in an area related to the practice of engineering, provided that the corporation or partnership was incorporated or established on or before July 1, 1973, and the word "engineer" or "engineering" has been continuously used in the corporation's or partnership's business name since that date and that the corporation or partnership is not engaged in the practice of engineering and as construed by the courts on the effective date of this section.
