(A) Except as provided in division (B) of this section, money received by the department of public safety from the sale of motor vehicles and related equipment pursuant to section 125.13 of the Revised Code shall be transferred to the public safety - highway purposes fund created in section 4501.06 of the Revised Code. The money shall be used only to purchase replacement motor vehicles and related equipment.
(B) Money received by the department of public safety investigative unit established under section 5502.13 of the Revised Code from the sale of motor vehicles and other equipment pursuant to section 125.13 of the Revised Code shall be deposited into the Ohio investigative unit fund created in section 5502.132 of the Revised Code. The money shall be used only to purchase replacement motor vehicles and other equipment for that unit.
