Effective: April 20, 1993 Latest Legislation: House Bill 308 - 119th General Assembly (A) Each public employer shall: (1) Furnish to each of his public employees employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his public employees; (2) Comply with Ohio employment risk reduction standards, rules, and orders adopted or issued pursuant to this chapter. (B) Notwithstanding this section or any other provision in this chapter to the contrary, no public employer is required to take any action under this chapter that would cause an undue hardship upon that public employer, unless the action is required to prevent imminent danger of death or serious harm to the public employee.
