Effective: September 24, 2012 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 316 - 129th General Assembly The executive secretary of the council office has the following duties: (A) Encourage the voluntary participation of employers and employees in the furtherance of the objective of this chapter; (B) Register any apprenticeship programs and agreements that meet the minimum standards established by federal regulations and state rules governing the registered apprenticeship system; (C) Terminate or cancel in consultation with the apprenticeship council any registered apprenticeship programs and agreements not in compliance with the provisions of such standards; (D) Keep a record of apprenticeship programs and their disposition; (E) Devise and implement all procedures and minimum standards as are necessary for the administration of the registered apprenticeship system; (F) Implement administrative rules adopted by the director of job and family services as necessary for the administration of the registered apprenticeship system; (G) Prepare statistical reports regarding apprenticeship training; (H) Issue information related to apprenticeship; (I) Perform such other duties as appropriate under the applicable rules and regulations.
