Effective: March 21, 2017 Latest Legislation: House Bill 470 - 131st General Assembly (A) Except as provided in division (B) of this section, a hospital that intends to discharge a patient, or transfer a patient to another hospital or facility, shall notify the patient's lay caregiver of that intent as soon as practicable. (B) Division (A) of this section does not apply if the patient or guardian has not given the consent described in division (A)(2) of section 3727.72 of the Revised Code.
