Effective: October 6, 1994 Latest Legislation: House Bill 571 - 120th General Assembly When cholera, yellow fever, diphtheria, scarlet fever, or other dangerous, contagious, or infectious disease appears in any state, county, or municipal benevolent or correctional institution, the superintendent or manager of the institution shall at once isolate the persons so affected and enforce sections 3707.01 to 3707.53 of the Revised Code, for the prevention of contagious diseases, and the rules and orders of the department of health to that effect. The trustees or managers of any benevolent or correctional institution may erect any necessary temporary building for the reception of the affected persons or for the detention of persons exposed to the listed diseases and may remove the persons to, and confine them in, the building.
