Effective: March 16, 1989 Latest Legislation: House Bill 790 - 117th General Assembly This chapter applies to all birth, fetal death, or death certificates and records, and reports of marriage, divorce, dissolution of marriage, or annulment of marriage received by the department of health prior to the effective date of this section and in the custody of the state registrar or a local registrar, but nothing in this chapter affects the validity of any certificate, record, or report created or filed prior to the effective date of this section.
