Effective: September 29, 2015 Latest Legislation: House Bill 64 - 131st General Assembly (A) Except as provided in division (B) of this section and sections 5153.171 to 5153.173 of the Revised Code, any information, document, or report presented to the director of health pursuant to guidelines established under section 3701.70 of the Revised Code, all statements made by persons participating in a review conducted pursuant to those guidelines, and all work products of the director are confidential and shall be used by the director only in the exercise of the proper functions of the department of health. (B) The director may disclose the confidential information described in division (A) of this section to a fetal and infant mortality review team. (C) No person shall knowingly permit or encourage the unauthorized dissemination of the confidential information described in division (A) of this section. (D) Whoever violates division (C) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree.
