Effective: April 7, 2009 Latest Legislation: House Bill 7 - 127th General Assembly As used in sections 3107.60 to 3107.68 of the Revised Code: (A) "Agency," "attorney," and "identifying information" have the same meanings as in section 3107.01 of the Revised Code. (B) "Nonidentifying information" means one of the following: (1) In relation to a birth parent, any information that is not identifying information, including all of the following: (a) A birth parent's age at the time the birth parent's child is adopted; (b) The medical and genetic history of the birth parents; (c) The age, sex, and medical and genetic history of an adopted person's birth sibling and extended family members; (d) A person's heritage and ethnic background, educational level, general physical appearance, religion, occupation, and cause of death; (e) Any information that may be included in a social and medical history as specified in divisions (B) and (C) of section 3107.09 of the Revised Code. (2) In relation to an adoptive parent, subject to a determination made pursuant to division (E) of section 3107.66 of the Revised Code, any information that is not identifying information, including all of the following: (a) An adoptive parent's age at the time of adoption; (b) An adoptive sibling's age at the time of adoption; (c) The heritage, ethnic background, religion, educational level, and occupation of the adoptive parent; (d) General information known about the well-being of the adoptee before and after the adoption.
