Effective: March 23, 2015 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 250 - 130th General Assembly (A) Before the birth of a child and with the written consent of the mother of the child, any of the following may serve or caused to be served actual notice to a putative father of the child that the mother of the child is considering placing the child for adoption: (1) An agency; (2) An attorney representing the person seeking to adopt the child; (3) An attorney representing the mother of the child. (B) As used in this section, "actual notice" means written notice that is actually received by the putative father and includes personal service or certified mail, return receipt requested.
