Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly When a new county is established, the governor, with the advice and consent of the senate, shall appoint three commissioners to fix and establish a seat of justice for such county. No person residing within or holding any real estate in the new county shall be appointed commissioner.
