Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly The court or judge to whom a writ of habeas corpus is returned, or the court into which it is adjourned, for good cause shown, may continue the cause, and, in that event, shall make such order for the safekeeping of the person imprisoned or detained as the nature of the case requires.
