Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly A beneficiary fund, not exceeding five thousand dollars, set apart, appropriated, or paid by a benevolent association or society, according to its rules, regulations, or bylaws, to the family of a deceased member, or to a member of such family, is not liable to be taken by process or proceedings, legal or equitable, to pay any debt of such deceased member.
